Prior to joining Avison Young, Carl began his career in commercial real estate in 1997 in the development of new multi-family projects working for a local property developer, focusing on the sales and marketing. Since 2000, Carl has also worked for local investors in the acquisition and management of multi-family, office, retail and industrial properties. With a background in finance, Carl focuses upon evaluating the opportunity and devising a strategy to maximize the return while managing costs and associated risk. Carl operates in both the Edmonton and Fort McMurray markets, with a focus primarily on the industrial sector and development land. Since joining Ken Williamson, Principal, Capital Markets Group, Carl has been involved in over 200 successful lease and sale transactions and in the underwriting, listing and sale of commercial real estate and development land totaling in excess of $350 million.
