C. Sterling Scott, CCIM, serves as the Managing Director for SVN / Encompass Commercial, LLC in Kansas City, MO. Sterling is licensed in Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma and with more than 35 years of industry experience has brokered thousands of commercial transactions. Prior to affiliating with SVN, Sterling owned and operated an independent commercial real estate firm for more than 18 years, gaining experience in sales and leasing with several property types including retail, office, multifamily, and industrial. He has brokered transactions with many of the governmental agencies including the GSA, the State of Missouri, Kansas City International Airport, the City of Parkville, the Platte County Missouri Health Center, the Platte County License Bureau, and Platte County Parks. He has also brokered numerous transactions with national retailers including; Taco Bell, IHOP, Outback, Honda, Nissan, Lexus, Gordmans, Walgreens, Wal Mart, Dollar General, and Dollar Tree as well as more than three million square feet of additional inline retail space and over 2,000 acres of development ground. Along with his brokerage activities, Sterling has assembled numerous commercial as well as residential developments and has overseen the operations of various commercial and residential associations. He has represented numerous Global Private Equity Groups, Lending Institutions, and Bankruptcy Courts in receivership and disposition capacities over the years involving office, retail, multi-family, and golf course properties. Active in the industry, Sterling is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Missouri Association of Realtors, the Kansas Association of Realtors, and the Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors. He earned his bachelor's degree in Business and Communication from Avila University in Missouri and currently resides in Parkville, Missouri with his wife and three children.
