C. Duke Brannock is a past president of the Washington Board of Realtors and has served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Realtors. He formed the first Commercial Leasing Committee at the Washington Board of Realtors. At his direction, was the co-author of redesigning the Method of Measurement that is currently used in the measuring of office space, called the Washington Board of Realtors Method of Measurement. His commercial real estate transactions have included IBM, U.S. Steel, Alcoa, Honeywell, American Medical Association, Hughes Aircraft and such law firms as Sullivan & Cromwell, Morgan, Lewis & Backius, Fulbright & Jaworski. He also has represented The Democratic National Committee and the Airline Pilots Association. He presently represents The Antonelli Family Trust and The Kinser Family Trust in Washington, D.C. He represented the late Edward Bennett Williams for nine (9) years in his commercial real estate transaction in Washington, D.C. His most recent lease transactions have included 30,000 square feet to the Justice Department, 15,000 square feet to MedStar and 11,000 square feet to Bridges Charter School in Washington, D.C. The sale of 999 E Street, NW for $85,000,000. He was also the broker responsible in the relocation of AHOLD Inc. from Atlanta, Georgia to Northern Virginia, where AHOLD Inc. purchased the office building for $9,000,000. His specialty has been focused on highly confidential transactions. The assembly of nine (9) properties for the American Medical Association in his personal name was the first such confidential transactions.
