Brie returned to Gonzales after graduation and purchased a two-story historic building on the downtown square in Gonzales. In the last 5 years she renovated the building with help of her family, this created a love for old buildings and restoring them to their original glory. Brie opened a bakery downstairs and created a beautiful upstairs living space. After getting married and starting a family, she decided to join the Real Estate profession.
