Brendan McArthur is a Senior Director in the Development and Asset Strategy Group and is responsible for helping the firm’s clients identify and unlock the asset value of vacant or underutilized assets. By determining each asset’s highest and best use, Mr. McArthur is able to drive favorable outcomes accretive to the client’s bottom line. Projects include land parcels of over 5,000 acres to dense urban infill parcels of less than one acre. Mr. McArthur has over two decades of real estate experience in markets covering the Southwest United States and Mexico.Previously, Mr. McArthur was a Manager in the Finance Group for The Macerich Company, one of the country’s largest owners, developers, and managers of regional shopping malls. In this role Mr. McArthur was responsible for financial pro-formas and forecasting of both development/redevelopment assets. Additionally, Mr. McArthur was responsible for securing over $2 billion in debt financing for company shopping centers during his tenure.Prior to Joining Macerich, Mr. McArthur was an Associate with Heisman Properties responsible for identifying and evaluating urban assets for acquisition and redevelopment. Mr. McArthur began his career in real estate as a broker with Koll Brokerage Services. As a broker with Koll, Mr. McArthur successfully represented a number of Fortune 500 clients including Bank of America and United Airlines on lease and sale transactions.
