ABOUT

Ben Harrison joined the Oakland office of Colliers International in 2002, bringing with him a 15-year proven track record in developing and closing business deals. His specialty is in building sales and tenant/landlord representation. Harrison’s own previous professional experience as a “growing tenant” provides him with a unique understanding of the full scope of considerations that go into making a move, negotiating a lease and buying a building. Additionally, his dual expertise in tenant and landlord representation allows him to better serve both landlords and tenants alike — tenants are best served by a broker who knows first hand how landlords operate and, likewise, landlords benefit from a broker with insight into tenants’ concerns. Previously, Harrison served as business development manager at Nominum Inc., the leading provider of IP address infrastructure solutions for Global 2000 companies. He was also the co-founder and general manager of a San Francisco-based high tech public relations company, and was successful in growing the business to more than $3 million in annual revenues before negotiating its sale to Omnicom, the No. 2 communications holding company worldwide. Harrison has also served as an investor in numerous start-ups, including negotiated "service for equity" transactions, and was a regional sales engineer for an industrial building claddings manufacturer with active involvement in specification and design process. Harrison received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He also attended the Artesty Institute of Executive Education at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania
