Benjamin Donel

Benjamin Donel, ESQ. is the Managing Principal and Founder of Sunset Equity. As a licensed real estate broker and attorney, he is additionally a prolific real-estate investor in his own right. He has single-handedly flipped over one-thousand homes and focused especially on distressed assets, foreclosures and note purchases. Coming from the buy side before developing his private lending business, Donel understands the intricacies of borrower needs and uses Sunset to delivers products that hold to the sole intention of fulfilling client needs. Working as a mentor in the real estate industry, Donel has been invited to hosted seminars and appear on international talk shows as a subject matter expert in real estate investing and real estate finance. He is also a published author, releasing his new book on real estate investing later this year. In 2018, Donel was invited to join the highly esteemed Forbes Real Estate Council, establishing him as a multi-faced trailblazer in the real estate industry. As a member of the council, he will write editorials and provide insight into his experience in real estate. Donel graduated from the University of California—Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Statistics and later earned his J.D. from Ventura College of Law. Donel is continuing to guide his companies to the pinnacle of their respective industries by utilizing the roadmaps that he has developed over the last two decades.
