Anne-Brigitte Sirois is recognized as an expert in the field of curatorial development for the arts, with a national-level of expertise and acclaim in the arts and commercial industries. She is responsible for conceiving, initiating and implementing an on-going project that proposed and realized a massive art gallery migration to New York City’s infamous Chelsea neighborhood. From 1995 until 2008, Ms. Sirois was Director of Real Estate Development for the Arts at the Lerner Group, Inc., a real estate development and brokerage firm based in Manhattan. In 2008, Ms. Sirois founded ART STATE LLC, a company offering professional services to leaders in the art and real estate communities. ART STATE works with building owners, real estate developers, urban planners, gallery directors, non-profit organizations, community groups and artists. Professional services include the strategic repositioning of industrial properties, property development in emerging and art neighborhoods, feasibility studies, market analysis and property representation. Additionally, ART STATE produces video segments and short documentaries on the subject of art and gentrification. Ms. Sirois’ knowledge of niche real estate markets in urban centers combined with her full understanding of the art gallery business have served her to become a successful catalyst for cultural and economic development. Her ongoing activist sales, using principles of culture-led regeneration, continue to critically impact the development of spaces for the arts and introduce new standards in the field of city planning. Ms. Sirois holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the York University in Toronto, a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto (in Toronto) and a Master in Fine Art from Pratt Institute in New York. Additionally, she is a LEED Accredited Professional with the United States Green Building Council and is a duly licensed Real Estate Broker with the State of New York.
