Alex Leopold was recruited to join CBRE in 2022 and serves as a Senior Vice President in the Global Advisory & Transaction Services Group in New York City. Alex represents both tenants and owners, delivering a unique market perspective and understanding, while providing new business development initiatives and client services. Recognized as an up-and-coming industry leader in NYC, Alex was honored to be included in City & State NY’s “40 Under 40 in Real Estate & Construction” and Commercial Observer’s “30 Under 30: The Best and the Brightest of NYC Real Estate”. As a respected landlord representative, Alex has been involved in transformative and high-profile market-changing leasing assignments, representing large institutional owners (PGIM, Morgan Stanley Real Estate, UBS Realty Investors), publicly traded REITs (Brookfield, Columbia Property Trust) and private family offices (Soloviev Group, HSR Corp.). Notably, Alex exclusively represents one of the preeminent office addresses in the world, 9 West 57th Street. Prior to joining CBRE, Alex started his career at Newmark, serving clients for eight years. While there, he was a five-time recipient of the firm’s National Rising Star Award and was consistently a top producer in his peer group. Alex also received the firm’s Biggest Leap Award, given to a broker with less than 10 years of experience who has dramatically elevated overall production numbers year-over-year, and demonstrated an early ability to become an elite next-generation broker. Prior to his real estate career, Alex trained and competed around the globe as an alpine ski racer. In 2009, Alex’s success earned him the chance to compete in the World University Games in Harbin, China. As a world-ranked alpine ski racer, Alex’s other achievements included winning a bronze medal in the Slovakian National Championships. He previously competed as a Junior Olympian.
