Aki joined Cushman & Wakefield, formerly Cassidy Turley, in the summer of 2011. He brings a wealth of retail, office, land, tenant and landlord relationships to the firm. Aki began his commercial real estate career in Denver with CB Richard Ellis, where he worked for 3 years. Aki later joined Legend Retail Group where he worked for an additional 3 years and focused primarily on Tenant representation and Landlord brokerage. Aki moved from Denver to Northern Colorado in 2005 and was a partner at Realtec Commercial Real Estate until he joined Cushman & Wakefield. Aki is a graduate of Colorado State University where he majored in Business Administration with an emphasis in Real Estate and Finance. In addition to his studies, Aki was a starting point guard for the Rams basketball team for 2 years, setting multiple CSU records. Aki specializes in retail, land, OREO’s, and office sales and leasing. In 2016, he worked the sale of Continental Plaza, a 55,000 SF office complex in Fort Collins which sold for $11,000,000. Other notable projects include the sale of Mid-Town Commons, an $11,725,000 retail shopping center on College Avenue in Fort Collins, an $8.4 million dollar land sale to Banner Hospital in south Fort Collins, and the sale and re-tenanting of a vacant 47,000 SF former Toys R Us building with Conn’s Inc., an electronics and appliance store chain headquartered in Texas. Other notable transactions include the leasing and sale of Towne Centre at Brookhill, a 500,000 square foot retail center in Westminster, CO and a 180 acre land acquisition in north Denver. He also has brokered several smaller land acquisitions, leases, and investment properties throughout Northern Colorado. Aki has accounted for 6.3 million leased square feet as well as over 500 acres of land sold, a total transaction volume in excess of $300,000,000.
