Open air Local shopping centre in the middle of Hereford City centre.
Old Market, Hereford was developed on the site of Hereford City Centre's old cattle market. The scheme comprises over 30 retail and leisure units and is fully let, with anchor tenants including Debenhams, who occupy an 85,000 sq ft store. The strong occupier line-up includes H&M, Next, Fat Face, Pandora, Outfit, Jack Wills, Joules and L'Occitane as well as Waitrose.
Leisure accounts for over 20% of the scheme by area, including a six-screen Odeon cinema, and restaurant operators Chimichanga, Wagamama, Nando's, Prezzo, Zizzi and Costa.
Old Market has a catchment of nearly 400,000 and an annual footfall of 6.5 million and was the first major retail development in Hereford for 25 years. It has brought over 1,000 jobs to the area, and increased Hereford's shopper population by around 155,000, boosting the local economy by some £100 million. Old Market complements the city centre's beautiful and historic architecture. Open-air streets and squares make it a pleasant place to spend time, with widened streets and better pedestrian links connecting Old Market to the historic city centre. It benefits from a 1,000 space car park.
