The Cap at Union Station is built on two bridge structures running parallel to the High Street vehicular bridge across I-670. The retail buildings are constructed of light-weight materials with a design that echoes Union Station, a revered building that was demolished to make way for the Columbus Convention Center. The pedestrian-friendly structure reestablishes the street scape severed by an Interstate highway corridor, reuniting downtown Columbus with the vibrant Short North neighborhood.
