Chelmont is an excellent gentrified shopping area that serves central El Paso. The local area has been in the process of gentrification of the last few years with additional long term retail, pharmacy, and food providers moving into and around the area. CVS moved in caddy corner to Lubys in 2018 and Walgreens occupies a 25 year ground lease in a brand new building as of 2016. This is one of the busiest shopping areas in El Paso.
