HISTORY OF THE COMPLEX: The New York Wire Company building originated in 1888 as the York Wire Cloth Company, and was initially used as a space to produce wire cloth for insect screening. Most recently, the building housed the New York Wire Company, where it used its high speed wire weaving looms to produce aluminum mesh for industrial use. Some of these original looms and spools of wire are still in the in the building, even now! Mark Lane Properties took position of the complex in 2020 and has transformed the property from a working factory into the area's largest creative community.
