Since its inception in 2003, Tybee Island Marina has become a notable destination not only for its wet and dry slip options but also as the location of the renowned Bubba Gumbo's Restaurant, established in 1997. The eatery has earned recognition among the top 10 seafood establishments in the state of Georgia. Additionally, BG's Seafood Co-op can be found on the premises, providing patrons with the opportunity to purchase fresh seafood straight from the local waters. The owner has opted to remove the sale of the restaurant and the seafood market and make a substantial reduction in price. The new price includes the marina operation and property and is now priced at $3,950,000.
As Tybee Island's sole full-service marina, it features an impressive fuel capacity with 5,000 gallons each of diesel and marine fuel available, alongside its array of wet and dry slips. It encompasses over 2,000 feet of floating docks primed for further development, plus 68 dry slips. The facility also includes a cozy living space with one bedroom and one bathroom. The marina hosts a variety of businesses such as a kayak and a jet ski rental services. With a navigable clearance of 46 feet at low tide and 38 feet at high tide beneath the Lazaretto Creek bridge, the marina is strategically located — a mere 15 miles from the historic city of Savannah and 17 miles from the Georgia Ports Authority, renowned for being the third-largest shipping container port.
