Lorena Plaza, a 49-unit community located at the intersection of 1st and Lorena Streets in Boyle Heights. It is a four-story building featuring 49 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments atop subterranean parking, ground-floor retail space and a retail plaza with public art. The apartments at Lorena Plaza are reserved for families earning at or below 30 and 50 percent of the area median income level. Likewise, half of the apartments have been earmarked for veterans. The public art mural featured at the signalized corner of Lorena and 1st, which is best viewed from the retail plaza, is titled “A Silver Lining of Boyle Heights” by local artist, Fabian Debora.
The retail shops and spaces can be directly accessed through the garage entrance, and there is a separate elevator and staircase for the commercial spaces.
