Certified LEED™ Gold, this facility provides high tech office space for an architectural practice and a trio of dental or medical suites in a reclaimed mid-century modern structure in Midtown Phoenix, Arizona. The original building was constructed in 1968, and required a complete overhaul of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Casework was refurbished, doors were re-finished and lumber was recycled, minimizing the waste stream from the demolition. An advanced and energy-efficient variable flow refrigerant air conditioning system was deployed. Day-lighting is incorporated with south and north facing windows, minimizing heat and glare from artificial lighting.
