The Pod Aquatics is a 10,000 sq ft indoor heated swim facility located in Oak Ridge North, TX - just minutes away from The Woodlands, TX. Built in 2015, The Pod houses 3 indoor heated pools, all designed with teaching in mind. The Pool Area includes contains: 4-roll-top exterior doors to allow good airflow throughout the swim area High ceilings Sitting Benches in the small pool area Bleachers in the lap pool area to accommodate parents and spectators easily Ample Deck Space for instructors and coaches Aerial Heaters to keep the pool area warm during the winter months The Lap Pool is a 4-lane, 25-yard regulation competition pool, complete with dive blocks. An entry depth at 4ft at the shallow end gradually slopes to 5ft over 3/4 of its length then drops to 7.5ft to allow safe shallow water diving. This gradual slope makes the pool very convenient for instructors to work with their students without needing to tread water. It also makes the pool very useful for water aerobics, aquatics therapy, and exercise programs. It also has a 4ft depth shelf across the deep end for swimmers to stand to adjust gear or wait for instruction. The Lap Pool is currently maintained at 85º. 75’ x 30' The Training Pool is a 3-lane,12.5-yard pool specifically designed to be 1/2 of the length of the Lap Pool, making it ideal for introducing younger swimmers to the routine of lane swimming. Lane ropes can be removed to create a larger width swim area ideal for larger group swim or multiple individual lessons, or warm water aerobics. With sitting ledges on all 4 sides, this pool is very versatile for use in instruction or therapy. The Training Pool is currently maintained at 91º. 30’ x 20' The Baby Pool is a shallow water pool with sitting ledges on 3 sides and steps on the 4th side. There are “training ladders” mounted on 2 walls, allowing instruction of the youngest of students. The Baby Pool is currently maintained at 95º. 25' x 15’ The Climate Controlled Office area contains: Reception Area with benches and monitor viewing of pool area Front Office with locking rolltop door and panel wall for product display Back Office has desks for administration and racks for storage Staff Kitchen with full sized refrigerator, sink, and large cabinet and counter space for a microwave and coffee maker Large Observation Room with live camera display of the pools Changing Area has lockers and benches for use of changing younger children including baby changing tables 5 ADA Handicap Compliant, unisex family bathrooms of which 2 have showers Electrical Closet with shelving for storage for cleaning supplies and equipment The parking area has 2 entrances to easily access the 40 parking spaces including 2 handicap designated spaces.
