Built in 1967 by First Union National Bank of NC, 234 Fayetteville Street is a six-story building with a full basement, totalling approximately 30,000 square feet. The building is ideally located in the heart of downtown Raleigh on the corner of Fayetteville Street and Martin Street. Since acquisition in 2013, Empire has completed upfits to modernize systems, floor plans and finishes in the majority of the building. The building offers potential space users with significant flexibility in terms of finishes—suites can feel crisp and clean with concrete floors and open ceilings, or intimate with carpet and ACT ceilings. In addition to suite renovation, Empire has significantly improved the building’s office lobby to include brass double doors, a brass transom window, and a newly-installed terrazzo floor.
