The Lamplighter Inn began as The Home Hotel, an original brick, 2-story hotel constructed in 1917. A series of motel sections were added between 1960 and 1965. In 1983, major renovations and restoration were undertaken including the complete gut of the hotel. The first level is the bar and lounge and the second level is a banquet/meeting room. New construction ensued which included the dining room/kitchen/laundry/liquor store & basement being added to the complex in 1984. The new construction also included the
trusses, plumbing and electrical accesses for a second story expansion. Remodeling added two private dining/meeting rooms to the property in 1988. Refurbishment has been ongoing throughout the property since 1984.
