Former high school built in 1914; addition added in 1950's w/auditorium & gymnasium. Original gym floor (currently protected by thick plywood) where Dean Smith learned to play basketball under his father as coach. Auditorium originally had approx. 1,100 seats with stage; upper balcony seats intact. The layout of the three floors mainly mirror each other w/many large & side rooms. Newer windows throughout; many large with a view. Original tile flooring in original building and glass floor entry. Wide hallways and staircases; operational elevator. Was under construction to be a 87 room hotel-convention center; plans available.
