TORRE REALIA\ The Icon is an icon of modern architecture located in the heart of Paseo de la Castellana, the backbone and heart of Madrid's financial district. The building, an essential part of the Madrid skyline, was designed and conceived by architect Philip Johnson, with the idea of breaking with the concept of linear design, standing as the first inclined office building in the world. The configuration of the space and the absence of pillars in the plan, with a central layout of the vertical communications core, offer an enormous range of interior distribution possibilities, optimizing the use of the surface and increasing the productivity of its occupants. In addition, the open spaces that characterize flexible offices favor the performance of air conditioning and lighting, contributing to the reduction of environmental impact. The air conditioning system operates free-cooling for each half floor. This system guarantees air renewal of up to 100%, resulting in unbeatable air quality and high energy savings. This set of active security and passive protection is managed thanks to a Building Management System (BMS) in a permanent control post, from where the rest of the building's facilities are also managed. The three underground floors of the building house a car park with 351 parking spaces, including ecospaces for charging electric vehicles, and an indoor car park for bicycles with 24-hour security. The car park is configured with two independent entrances and two exits to favor the flow of vehicles, highlighting the possibility of direct access from the Paseo de la Castellana tunnel.
