The development site is conveniently located within walking distance of Collins Avenue and the Miami Beach Convention Center. The convention center recently completed a $640 million renovation, which included a 1,435,000 sq ft redesign. This redesign incorporated a 500,000 sq ft exhibit hall, four new ballrooms and 127,000 sq ft of new meeting spaces. Additionally, over six acres of parking lot were transformed into a public park, featuring a tropical garden, game lawn, shaded areas, veterans’ plaza, and public art. Construction on an 800-room Grand Hyatt hotel is set to begin in mid-2025. This $600 million project will include a climate-controlled skybridge directly connecting the hotel to the convention center.
