Originally built in 1891, the Holzbeierlein Bakery, served as one the city's prominent bakeries and led by Michael Holzbeierlein, a Bavarian-born baker turned business owner. The building has been redeveloped and re-imagined into the Adora, a 63,000 square foot, mixed-use property with two floors of office space, highlighted with original building elements including wood floors, structural beams, and brick from the late 1800's. Adora is located in the center of Wiltberger Street, bordered by 6th Street to the east, 7th Street to the west, T Street to the north and S Street to the south. It sits opposite and diagonally to the Howard Theatre and one block from the Shaw-Howard University Metro station in the Shaw, Washington DC.
