Sutherlin, Oregon is covered in rich farmland and like a lot of areas in the Umpqua Valley, is gaining notoriety with their award-winning wines and vineyards. The optimal farmland and mild climate makes it an ideal area for growing grapes and other produce. It is located just off I-5, about 13 miles north of Roseburg. There are plenty of places to play in Sutherlin along the Umpqua River or at Cooper Creek Reservoir. Travel northwest on the spectacular Highway 138 for some amazing scenery or head southwest to the always-beautiful unincorporated community of Umpqua.
