This quaint building has a tremendous history in Clark County. It was originally used as a school and church simultaneously. It was a popular gathering place when the community of Brush Prairie was developing. It was built by the Clark Brothers who were early settlers of this area. This building was designated as the "Brush Prairie School District #23" and the community swiftly developed a general store, post office, and railroad depot which supported the livelihood of the homesteaders during World War I. All of these establishments are still operating, and roughly in the same location within walking distance of this building. The building today is zoned Community Commercial, and can be utilized as a retail establishment, a school, a church, Daycare, and office, along with many other uses. It has ample parking on site.
