Completed in 1971, the building stands at 54 floors tall and features over 2,400,00 square feet in office space for rent, making it quite an enormous structure. Although an older building, the structure was recently renovated to LEED-EB Silver standards and now offers comfortable space and support. The building sits in the heart of Midtown and subsequently benefits from some of New York’s best amenities. In addition to hundreds of restaurants in close proximity, 1251 6th Ave. benefits from being close to yellow, orange, and red MTA subway lines. The Exxon Building also stands in the heart of a central business district, making it ideal for organizations needing closeness to partner firms or clients. The Exxon Building was originally built as an expansion of Rockefeller Center, with its plans being first drawn by the Rockefeller family’s architect, Wallace Harrison.
