Woodbranch consists of two reinforced concrete office buildings encased in granite aggregate panels and alternating bands of tinted reflective glass. The hexagonal shape of the buildings help maximize the usable area and provide for a large number of exterior offices. The focal point for the project is a central circular plaza paved with interlocking brick pavers and lit at night by cast-iron street lamps. Two multi-level concrete parking garages are connected to the buildings by glass-enclosed, air-conditioned walkways, and provide parking for 820 cars.
The lobbies showcase walls and floors of pale rose flame-cut granite engrained with subtle shades of heather grey. Above, tenant floors have 9-foot ceilings of high-density acoustical tiles, full-height solid-core oak doors with polished chrome lever hardware, high-grade commercial carpeting and fabric-clad elevator lobbies. Lighting is provided by energy-efficient three-lamp fluorescent fixtures with parabolic diffusers. A computerized HVAC system monitors each building and automatically adjusts comfort levels. Each floor has 16 to 25 individually controlled thermostats which allow for tenant operation and control even during weekends and after hours.
