Originally built as Army Barracks in the 1940s, Buildings 1, 3, and part of Building 2 were relocated to their current site in 1964, forming the BV Motel. The motel consists of 15 units ranging from 200 to 300 square feet, along with a two-bedroom, two-bath unit attached to the office for management. Over 20% of the rooms feature kitchenettes, catering to extended-stay guests. Amenities include free WiFi, TV, coffee, tea, and parking. Additional facilities include a separate laundry area and a standalone shed for storage.
Many of the units have been refurbished with new tile flooring and fresh paint, while two of the three buildings have received new roofs. A brand-new Pix water system was installed in Building 3, and the entire motel was repainted in 2022. The property has also undergone landscaping improvements, including the addition of a rose garden. The electrical system remains legally grandfathered in. Over the past five years, the BV Motel has successfully passed all Health and Safety Checks and continues to be an active participant in the City of Searchlight.
