More than 60 years ago the founder of this shopping center was concerned that it was getting more expensive and more difficult to shop in downtown Elkhart, so he established a shopping area that was close to downtown, always free parking, and easy to walk from store to store. To make sure everyone knew his intentions he named it Easy Shopping Place. Six decades later, Easy Shopping Place is still serving Elkhart residents and visitors with convenient, affordable, and enjoyable shopping and dining. Located in the middle of Elkhart’s revival, Easy Shopping Place will continue to expand and improve to serve the needs of this wonderful city. A new small community is emerging around Easy Shopping Place including the Elkhart Health and Aquatics Center and also Stonewater at the Riverwalk Apartments and Townhomes. Easy Shopping Place is just a short stroll from these and many other shops and businesses in the area, including the Downtown Elkhart area.
