UniSource Energy Tower, Tucson's premier high-rise, is located in the heart of downtown Tucson. Downtown is one of three major employment centers in Tucson along with the University of Arizona (5 minutes) and the Airport (15 minutes). Tucson's only freeway system borders the west side of downtown, providing easy access to the airport, residential areas, Phoenix, and Nogales. Building features include a dramatic 3-level entry, a courtyard with a fountain as its focal point, and octagonal-shaped floor plates offering eight corner offices per floor. The exterior of the building is a unique combination of horizontal bands of flamed and polished granite with alternate bands of rose-tinted glass.This building was awarded an Energy Star label in 2010 for its operating efficiency.
